Professor Peretz Lavie is a high profile figure in the sleep field. He is the current president of Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and former Dean of Medicine. He is an international authority on the psychobiology of sleep and sleep disorders.

Dr Lena Lavie is a Senior Research Fellow at the Technion and also has a high profile in basic sleep research. Her research is focussed on understanding the pathophysiological mechanism leading to cardiovascular morbidity in sleep apnea syndrome.
